Latest updates:

  • The Devil's and their varients are now translucent, to make them appear more like actual spirits. Translucency levels depend on difficulty, the more corporial being the strongest.
  • Starting spriting the Crotch Devil. It is hard, slow and long. Will be a while before this monster is placed in game.
  • Created a new zombie type - the 'possessed chav'. It needs a lot more work before it's complete.
  • The Cinema (Level 05) is about one quarter complete. Lots more to do to make it a decent level.
  • Added projectors to the movie theatre that explode if shot, causing a fire that lingers and does harm to monsters and player.
  • Added Petrol Tanks (thanks DEAD FRIEND!) to the game that act exactly the same way as the projectors.
  • Updated the 'Ghoul' sprites to make them look more menacing.

Would love to see DOOM 3 and DOOM 4 remade in the style of DOOM 1, DOOM II and FINAL DOOM. Get on it, DOOM fans.

It was started in 2014, and I only just finished it. The Freemason Lodge is complete as MAP04. It may still be tweaked in the future to be even better but for the most part it is complete. Brought in a bunch of new textures to use to make this place look authentic. Take a look and enjoy.

When I started making this game in 2013 there were a few problems with it that I had no idea how to fix. Most notably, a texture glitch in the front garden of MAP01 (The House) in which the path to the secret area right beside the front door and it displayed as a missing texture, with a buggy hole in the graphics. Along with this a few other things needed updating ie; texture quality and detail. Here is what I did so far.

The first picture is how it was, the second now displays it fixed. Looks much better and it doesn't bug me anymore. No graphical errors - problem fixed by creating a new tiny sector of the same shape and making it a small wall that covers the damage.

The door textures in the original 2013 version were chopped short and looked like they belonged in a mansion rather than a 2 bedroom house. New door textures have been added to make these look better.

The wardrobes in the bedrooms were completely white in the original all the way around and it looked bland and empty. I added wooden sides to these and they look much better now.

The kitchen has had a complete makeover. All the blotchy, bad quality texture graphics of the cupboards have been replaced with beautiful wooded shiny ones that fit properly and the fridge texture (which was originally just a door texture stuck on it) has been upgraded with a real fridge texture to make it look real. The kitchen has had the tabletops moved about slightly to make them fit better and the oven has been moved over slightly. Oven has lost its back texture which still needs fixing but overall, great progress. Look at the difference between the 2016 kitchen (left) and the 2013 kitchen (right).
